Like our classic Apple and Mandarin flavour, but with a touch of creamy yoghurt mixed through. Fruit leather is a wonderfully simple and traditional way of preserving fruit, transforming it into a naturally chewy, healthy treat. Made by puréeing fruit and slowly drying it at a low temperature, the moisture is gently removed, leaving behind a concentrated sheet of tasty fruit that lasts for years.

All of the fruit that goes into our fruit leather is lovingly hand-picked and makes a delicious healthy snack; we use no added sugar, artificial colours, preservatives or additives, as we believe the quality of the ingredients and our craft speaks for itself.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF FRUIT LEATHER

This was a highly popular treat up to thousands of years before modern manufactured sweets existed. Ancient civilizations across the Middle East, Central Asia, and East Asia relied on fruit leather as both a crucial method of food preservation and a sweet, tart snack.
The practice of drying fruit dates back thousands of years, with early records of fruit preservation via drying going as far back as 1700 BCE. Communities around the world would mash fruit into a paste and sun-dry it on flat rocks to preserve seasonal harvests long before modern refrigeration methods. From sun-dried fruit pastes to traditional fruit rolls, these techniques helped extend the life of fresh produce and reduce waste, allowing the goodness of the harvest to be enjoyed long after the season had passed. Historically, refined sugar was rare, expensive, and a luxury restricted to the ultra-wealthy. Because of this, ancient cultures relied on natural sources of sugar to satisfy their sweet cravings.
